Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager who can bridge the gap between growers and customers through excellent communication and service. If you share our passion for potatoes and are excited about contributing to Parkland's growth ambitions, we want to hear from you!

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective communication and exceptional service to growers and buyers in North America, focusing on maintaining quality standards, introduction of new varieties, cultivation and storage techniques. This role is pivotal in strengthening the bond between growers and buyers, ensuring optimal returns.

Is this your next role?

  • Assist in developing and implement variety introduction plans
  • Perform and organize assessments on seed and fresh potatoes
  • Advising and assisting growers/customers in respect of all kinds of common issues, including technical cultivation measures, circumstances, and storage techniques to improve the quality of the product;
  • Help growers and customers with best growing/harvesting practises of the new varieties
  • Making analyses on the development of new varieties, including cultivation and storage techniques and climate conditions
  • Informing growers about current events (rules, regulations, etc) and the policy of the organization
  • Organize field day and field trials across North America

You are a team player with a strong focus on collaboration. As a technical specialist, you will be a point of contact for colleagues, growers, and customers. You are flexible and willing to travel. Additionally, you stay updated on the latest developments in your field and can translate these developments into practical benefits for Parkland.

What do we expect from you?

You bring a higher education level of thinking and working, preferably with a background in agriculture. Proficiency in English is essential, and additional language skills are a plus. Practical knowledge of the potato chain and product technology at an intermediate level is an asset. In-depth knowledge of the North American agricultural market is an asset, along with excellent communication skills.
