Manitou | Proven the highest yielding potato variety in Tanzania

Good potato variety for the Tanzania retail market

In 2018-2019 at Stawisha farm in Mbeya, various Dutch potato varieties were tested. Manitou proved to be the highest yielding variety of all. In combination with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and cultivation under irrigation, its reported yields ranged between 61.5 – 72.2 t/ha (24.6 – 28.9 t/acre). Hence we feel confident to state: ‘Manitou, the proven highest yielding variety in Tanzania’!
