Background

Manitou is a red-skinned variety with yellow flesh. It was specially bred as an alternative to the Desiree variety and it offers a good yield and dry matter content, and has a long, oval shape. The variety is also resistant to Am, Ro1 and 3 and potato wart disease.

Manitou is a cross between the Maranca and Laura varieties and comes from the Mansholt breeding center, which has already developed many varieties for Agrico.
